  Research Notes:

In 1776 Mary Ustick was a beneficiary of her father's will, receiving £200.

In 1806 Mary Usticke was a beneficiary of the will of her sister Elizabeth Borlase, spinster, receiving her house and premises in the town of Penzance.

Mary Usticke of Penzance, relict of the Rev Henry Usticke formerly Vicar of this parish, died aged 90 years (burial record).

Abstract of the Will of Mary Usticke of the Town of Penzance within the Parish of Madron, Widow, written 16 Feb 1813, proved 13 Nov 1813. 2

To be buried in Breage churchyard as near as possible to the remains of her husband.

Gives 10 guineas to William Usticke, Esqr.

Gives 10 guineas to John Scoble, Esqr., and to his son John Usticke-Scoble all her little silver plate bearing the crest of the Ustick family, and her best clock. To his sister Susanna Scoble she gives £100 in stock.

Gives £10 each to the five children of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Lemon of Breage, and to her son Samuel Lemon she gives her watch with the gold case.

Gives £10 to her niece Mrs. Margaret Hichens.

Gives £10 to her nephew John Baines.

Gives the £400 due to her from the mortgage between Sir James Mansfield and her late brother Samuel Borlase, Esqr., as follows: — £100 to her niece Margaret Tremenheere, £100 to Mary Tremenheere, and £200 to Mrs. Frances Pogson. Gives the interest on the said mortgage to her sister Caroline Borlase for life.

Gives £20 to her servant Grace Carn for mourning, along with her bed and bedding.

Gives £10 to Charity Pellew for mourning.

Gives to her nephew Mr. John Tremenheere what remains due to her for interest or principal on a bond still subsisting against his father's effects.

All the rest of her goods and effects she gives to her sister Caroline Borlase, appointing her sole executrix of her last will and testament.

In a codicil dated 17 Feb 1813 she gives £40 to her cousin Elizabeth Borlase.
