In 1861, James Roberts (55) of Constantine, stone mason, and wife Elizabeth O. (58) of Ruan Minor, were living in Constantine. Present was daughter Mary (18) of Constantine.

In 1871, James Roberts (67) of Constantine, granite mason, widower, was living in Church Town, Constantine. Present were daughters Mary Roberts (28) of Constantine, milliner, Catherine Bowden? (38) of Constantine, sailor's wife, grandsons (born in Constantine): Thomas (7), scholar, George (3), scholar, Samuel (2)
