Prier), 36 Eliz., "Henry Edwards of Lelant, yeoman, age 78...."
(place) Matthews, John Hobson, "A History of the Parishes of Saint Ives,
Lelant, Towednack and Zennor, in the County of Cornwall" (London:
Elliot Stock, 1892), p. 137. The subsidy of 1549 for Lelant shows:
"her' Edward 8d," apparently "heirs" of Edwards. So Henry was probably
born in Lelant.
Also: Guide booklet to the Church of St. Uny Lelant (published 1981 by
the Tempest family and available at the parish church), p. 3; a
document dated 1500 from Bishop Redmayne's "Registrum Commune" shows an
agreement between the vicar and a number of parishoners of Lelant,
including one John Edward. This is possibly Henry's father.

1887), p. 145. Pedigree of Edwards of Lelant, taken from the original
visitation of 1620, signed by Thomas Edwards (son of Henry). Shows
Thomas' wife, parents, siblings and children.

Note: Henderson, Vol. II, p. 66, #51. Fine, Octave of Hilary,
6 James I (1609), Thomas Edwardes gent & Henry Edwardes, querients,
land called Tregethas alias Tregiras in St. Erth and Roseviney
alias Rosevinnie in Ludgvan.
Is this Henry, father of Thomas? He would be 93 years of age.
Thomas' son Henry would be only 9. There was however, another
Henry, residing in Ludgvan, who was related in some way; possibly
it was he who was party to this deed.
