* children of Ralph and Alice.
In 1851, Ralph Mitchell (65) of Gwinear, farmer of 100 acres, and wife Agnes (62) of St. Austell, were living in Higher Demain, Ruan Lanihorne. Present were children (born in Gwinear): Sidwell* (41), John Mitchell (26)
* incorrectly shown as married (noting Ralph's son Thomas's wife was also named Sidwell and of the same age, yet who was with her husband at the time of this Census).
In 1861, Ralph Michell (75) of Gwinear, farmer jointly 75 acres employing 2 men, and wife Agness (71) of St. Erth, were living in Mount George, Feock. Present was daughter [Sidwell] Michell (51) of Gwinear, unmarried.
