WED AT TUCKINGMILL
The wedding took place, on Thursday, at Tuckingmill Wesley Church, the Rev. T. E. May officiating, of Mr. George David Carpenter, only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Carpenter, of Tehidy-road, Camborne, and Miss Elizabeth Vera Temby, younger daughter of Mrs. F. P. Temby, of No. 34, Manor-road, Camborne, and the late Mr. Howard Temby, of Roskear, Camborne. The bride, given away by her brother, Mr. H. P. Temby, Redruth, was attired in a petrol blue costume with hat to match. Mr. S. Eslick, Pool (brother-in-law of the bridegroom), was best man. The bridegroom is on holiday from West Africa, where he holds a mining appointment on the Ashanti Gold Mine. The honeymoon is being spent in London. Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter received numerous presents, including a dinner set from the bride's fellow members of the staff of the County Hall, Truro.
