The IGI has George Frederick CRASE married to Ellen Jane SCOBLE as of c. 1900. However, all the U.S. Federal Censuses (above) show George as having been single. A reference to Ellen Jane SCOBLE is found on George's World War I Registration Card as his nearest living relative. It is probable that this was, in fact, his mother (Jane SCOBLE).
