Dame de Nogent
Research Notes:
Her marriage is confirmed by an apparently incomplete fragmentary passage of the mid-12th century continuation of the Historia of Monk Aimon which records that, during the reign of Robert II King of France, [name omitted] fortified "Sparnonem et Montifortem" and married "de Novigento dominam". 1
Marriage Information:
Dame married Guillaume de Hainaut, châtelain d’ Epernon, Montfort & Beynes, son of Amaury, comte de Hainaut et de la marche de Valenciennes and Judith de Cambrai. (Guillaume de Hainaut was born about 960 in Évreux, Eure, Haute-Normandie, France and died after 1003 in Montfort-l'Amaury, France.)
