At St. John's C.E., Mudgee, on the 15th instant, the marriage of Elsie, eldest daughter of Mr, Reuben Mills, of 'Glenorie,' Lawson's Creek, and Horace, second son of Mr. Edwin Woolley, of Broombee, was celebrated by the Ven. Archdeacon Dunstan in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. The bride was given away by her father, and was most becomingly attired in a dress of cream silk voile prettily trimmed with silk applique and chiffon roses. She also wore a coronet of orange blossoms with an embroidered net veil kindly lent by an aunt. Her gold bangle, set with rubies and diamonds, and ruby dress ring were the gifts of the bridegroom. She also carried a shower bouquet. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a set of military brushes. The bridesmaids, Misses F. Mills and M. Woolley, were dressed in white Persian lawn trimmed with lace and insertion, and white hats with tulle and floral trimmings. They each carried floral crooks and wore gold chains and pendants, the gifts of the bridegroom. Misses Dorrie Mills and Myree Thompson, in pretty frocks of white silk and carrying baskets of red dahlias, acted as maids-of-honor. They each wore gold pins, gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. J. Mills acted as. best man and Mr. H. Hunt as groomsman. As the bride entered the church the choir sang the wedding hymn 'The voice that breathed o'er Eden.' After the ceremony about 100 guests attended the reception by Mr. and Mrs. R. Mills at ' Glenorie,' and Mr. and Mrs. H. Woolley received the congratulations of their friends in the drawing room. The wedding Breakfast was served in a large marquee, which had been erected and nicely decorated for the occasion. Mr. T. Mills, who acted as chairman, proposed ' The King,' which was duly honored, after which the Ven. Archdeacon Dunstan proposed 'The Health of the Happy Couple,' which was responded to by Mr. H. Woolley. ' The Bridesmaids ' was proposed by Mr. P. S. Garling and responded to by Mr. J. Mills, ' The Parents ' by Mr. J. Shute, 'The Visitors' by Mr. W. Mills (responded to by Mr. William Mills and supported by Mr. Abernethy and Mr. J. Sharp), and ' The Press ' by Mr. W. T. Paine (responded to by Mr. Garling.) The presents, which were numerous and costly and included several cheques, were displayed in the dining room. Later in the evening the young couple left for their honey moon, which is being spent at Katoomba, Sydney, and Orange. The bride's travelling dress was navy voile, made with a cream net blouse, trimmed with silk applique, and worn with a coatee. Her cream hat. was trimmed ?with ostrich feathers and chiffon rosettes." ⁶
