In 1841, Ann Jeffery (43) and husband George Jeffery (45), lab miner, were living in Carnkye Illogan. Present were children: Edward (20), Eliza (18), Stephen (16), Johonson (14), Robert (12), Mary (10), Jane (8), John (2)

In 1851, Ann Jeffery (52) of Illogan [sic] and husband George Jeffery (54) of Illogan, working in the copper mines, were living in Carnkye Illogan. Present were children (born in Illogan): Robt. (22), copper ore miner, Mary A. (21), copper ore dresser, Jane (16), copper ore dresser, John (11), at school, Wm. (6), at school

In 1861, Ann Jeffery (61) of Camborne and husband George Jeffery (63) of Illogan, farmer & carter, were living in Carnkie Illogan. Present were sons John (21), tin & copper miner, William (16) ag. carter

In 1871, Ann Jeffery (71) of Camborne and husband George Jeffery (72) of Illogan, farmer of 5 acres, were living in Carnkie Illogan.

In 1881, Ann Jeffery (86) of Camborne, widow, was living in Carnkie Illogan.

George Jeffery 25/2/1879, 86, also Ann his wife 14/6/1881, 86 (memorial inscription).

Ann's age conforms with that provided in the 1881 Census, but which is out by several years against all earlier Censuses. Similarly, George's age at death is a few years greater than those provided in the Censuses. It seems likely the informant was incorrect, at least with regard to Ann.

   Marriage Information:

Anne married George JEFFERY of Carnkie on 24 Aug 1818 in Camborne, Cornwall. (George JEFFERY of Carnkie was born in 1793 in Illogan, Cornwall and died on 25 Feb 1879 in Carnkie, Illogan, Cornwall ².)
