  Research Notes:

In 1502 Richard, youngest son, was co-executor of his father's Will, receiving £20 and 300 sheep.

On 25 Apr 1534, as Richard Richman, the younger, of Draycott Folliot, Wilts, husbandman, with some of his relatives leased "Yorke's Ferme" in Drayton Folliot and Chesilden of Thomas Yorke.

In June 1555 Richard Webbe was named as one of the overseers of the Will of his brother Thomas.

On 1 Jul 1557 Richard Webbe of Draycott Foliot, Wilts, yeoman, lent 200 marks to Thomas Bowtell alias Bover.

In March 1574 Richard Webbe of Ludington was named as an overseer of the Will of his sister-in-law Johan Webbe of Drayton Foliott, widow of his brother Thomas.

Abstract of the Will of Richard Webb of the Parish of Lidington, written 30 May 1579, proved 17 Sep 1590. 2

Gives 4 pence to the Lady Church of Sarum.

Gives to Thomas Horne and his poor wife and children a bushel of barley.

Gives a bushel of barley to Margaret Manner and Joane Powell.

Gives half a bushel of barley to John Fey.

Gives and bequeaths to his son Edward Webb two yearling steer bullocks, a score of sheep as they run out of the fold, his second-best ironbound cart, one yoke with a plough, one three-year-old heifer bullock, a square table board with frame, his second-best brass pot, two pewter platters, two pottingers, a saucer, one flockbed, his third-best bedstead, and six bushells of wheat.

Bequeaths £10 to his daughter Anne, along with his third-best feather bed, a pair of canvas sheets, a feather bolster, one coverlet, five pewter platters, two pottingers, and a saucer.

Gives and bequeaths £10 to his daughter Elinor Webb, as well as his second-best feather bed, a feather bolster, a pair of canvas sheets, one coverlet, five pewter platters, two pottingers and a saucer.

Gives and bequeaths to his son Thomas Webb six bushels of wheat, one yoke of three-year-old steer bullocks, a three-year-old heifer bullock, a score of sheep as they run out of the fold, his third-best brass pot, five pewter platter, two pottingers, a saucer, one flockbed, a bedstead, and £7 currently held by Richard's mother-in-law, Mrs. Haull, residing at Foxhangers.

Gives and bequeaths to his son-in-law Simon Dowman 6 bushels of wheat.

Gives and bequeaths to his son-in-law John Elwill half a quarter of wheat, and to John's son James a three-year-old heifer bullock with a calf by her side.

Gives to Florence Elwill a three-year-old heifer bullock.

The residue of his goods he gives to his wife Elizabeth and to his son Robert, appointing them co-executors of his last will and testament.

Makes John Elwill and William Smarte his overseers.

Witnesses: William Edwards, clerk, John Balden, John Fey, and others.

Proved by daughter Margery Webb als. Elwill.
