"Mr. W. S. Hocking, a prominent member ol the Loyal Victoria and'Loyal Pioneer Lodges, M.U.I.O.O.F., and for several years Provincial Secretary of tbe Rockhampton District of Oddfellows, died last evening. He has been [....] fever for several weeks past, but his end came sooner than was expected."

He died on Monday night last after a long illness from fever.
