The wedding took place at All Saints, Maidstone, on Saturday of Constructor Lieut. Roy Anscomb, R.N., son of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Anscomb, Faraday House, Faraday Road, Maidstone, and Miss Hyacinth Kathleen Mithen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Mithen, Woodgrange, Loose Road, Maidstone. The service, which was fully choral, was conducted by the Rev. A. O. Standen. The bride looked charming in a gown of white satin brocade with a train and long veil, with wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of arum lilies. The gold cross and chain which she wore were the gifts of the bridegroom. She was attended by Miss Joyce Anscomb, the bridegroom's sister, the Misses Jean and Joyce Tadman, Doreen Huges and Brenda Webb, who were attired in dresses of cyclamen poult and carried cyclamen muffs with knots of mauve anemones and wore wreaths of anemones. The bride was given away by her father, and the best man was Mr. John Anscomb. After the ceremony a reception was held at the New Inn. The honeymoon is being spent in Cornwall, the bride travelling in a Wedgwood blue dress with Burgundy hat, with fur coat, a gift of the bridegroom.
