In Feb 1900 Edith Emma Evans, widow, was granted Probate of her late husband's personal effects.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Edith Evans, age 26, born in Stoke Newington London, widow, living on own means, and daughter Phyllis (4) of Brixton London, were living at 46 Harold Rd., Leyton Essex.

Probably the same Edith Emma Evans who married James Adams in the Colchester district of Essex during the March quarter of 1902, although unable to find her in the 1911 England Census.
