Late Mr. T. O. Pugh
Mr. Thomas Owen Pugh, of the Railway Draughtsman's Office, Ipswich, whose death occurred at the Ipswich Hospital, has been connected prior to coming to Brisbane three years ago, with the railways in Western Australia and Victoria. He has spent three years in Brisbane, and lived at St. Lucia.
Born in England he came to Australia in 1910 bringing, for Dennis Brothers, the first motor fire engine to be used in Australia. He then took up his residence at Perth, later moving to Melbourne. He saw active service with the 3rd Division Motor Transport Corps.
Of an artistic nature he indulged a hobby for painting with no little skill. He is survived by his widow and three sons....
