Abstract of the Will of William Amerson of the Parish of Ruan Minor in the County of Cornwall, Fisherman, written 8 Nov 1788, proved 20 May 1789. 2
Gives to his sister Grace Banfield all his personal effects and appoints her sole executrix of his last will and testament, obliging her to give a quarter part of his sain and sain boat currently at Cadgwith, to his kinsman Richard Nicholls, and a quarter part of his pilchard sain and sain boat to his kinsman Hannibal Amerson. If either Richard or Hannibal decide to sell their quarters, then he wills that his sister Grace Banfield be able to either keep for herself and his brother's son, Robert Amerson, or dispose of as she sees fit.
Gives an eighth part of his sain in partnership with Oliver Oliver to his sister's son Richard Hocken.
Gives to his kinswoman Margery* the wife of the said Richard Nicholls the house where he now lives, along with the furniture.
* Margery Amerson and Richard Nicholls married in Grade in 1785. Margery was William's niece.
Gives one guinea each to Grace Johns and Mary George of Ruan Major.
Gives five shillings each to his kinswomen Grace Hocken of Grade, Grace Perkins of Falmouth, Mary Spencer of Falmouth, Jenipher Alpert, Elizabeth Collins of Plymouth, and to Margret and Catherine, daughters of his late brother Robert Amerson.
