Urraca
- Married: Before 23 Sep 926
Research Notes:
"Garseani…rex…cum congugie mea Muma doma regina" donated certain the town of Mutarraf to Eslonza monastery by charter dated 13 May 923 (presumably misdated), confirmed by "Ranimirus, Urraca regina…Gutierre Memendiz, Sesebutus Petri…". She is named with her husband in his donation to the Cathedral of Oviedo dated 23 Sep 926. She was present in the castle of Lara signing two charters as "Urraca regina" in 927, suggesting the affiliation of her daughter Muniadomna. Salazar y Acha suggests that she was the same person as the second wife of Ramiro´s older brother King Fruela II, although he admits there is no proof that this is correct. "Ranemirus rex et Uraca regina" donated "lacum…in berno Bustum…Uitalicum" to Eslonza monastery by charter dated 26 Jun 938 (presumably misdated). 1
Marriage Information:
Urraca married Ramíro DE ASTURIAS, Titular King of León, son of Alfonso III "el Magno" DE ASTURIAS and Jimena García DE PAMPLONA, before 23 Sep 926. (Ramíro DE ASTURIAS died on 31 Mar 929.)
