The primary source which confirms her parentage has not yet been identified. Alexander Bishop of Liège confirmed the donation made by "domnus Gozwinus secundus Henesbergensis et uxor eius Aleidis" to the church at their castle, with the consent of "filiis eius Philippo…archiepiscopo, Gozwino, Godefrido", by charter dated 13 Mar 1165 (but redated to [1167/68])". 1
