Markgraf über den Gau der Heveller [Nordmark] 968/981. The Annalista Saxo records that "Teoderici ducis et marchionis" was deprived of the dignity in favour of Lothar [III] Graf von Walbeck after the Slavs destroyed the churches of "Branneburch et Havelbergan" and relapsed into paganism. He was deposed in 983.

The necrology of Fulda records the death in 985 of "Deiterih marchio".

The name of Dietrich's wife is not known. ¹
