Abstract of the Will of Charity Pankhurst of Burwash in the County of Sussex, Widow, written 15 Sep 1741, proved 14 Dec 1742. 3
Gives and bequeaths the rents and profits of her copyhold tenement and garden in Burwash to her son-in-law William Gillett and his wife Anne her daughter. And after the decease of Anne Gillett she wills the same to the children of the said William Gillett. And for want of such issue, she gives and devises the same to the children of her brothers and sisters, namely of her brothers John and Walter Double, and of her sisters Elizabeth, Sarah and Tamar Double.
Gives £10 to Anne Gillett and all her wearing apparel.
Gives to her executors in trust all her ready money, mortgages, bonds, bills, household goods, and personal estate. Directs that her executors, with the consent of her Trustee, sell her household goods, and invest the proceeds along with the ready money in securities at interest, and pay the said interest to the said William Gillett and Anne his wife until their children reach their respective ages of twenty-one years.
Makes James Skinner and Thomas Hill co-executors of her last will and testament, and appoints William Polhill of Burwash, gent, Trustee to her last will and testament.
