In the 1927/8 England & Wales Electoral Registers Beatrice Kate Lightbody and husband Godfrey Kenneth Lightbody were living at 1 Oak Cottages, Rectory Road, Hawkwell Essex.

In the 1939 Register Beatrice K Lightbody (b. 10 May 1890), married, unpaid domestic duties, was living at Eastfield, David Street, Sole Street, Kent. At the same address was [daughter] Pamela Lightbody (b. 21 Jul 1918), single, unpaid domestic duties. Husband Godfrey K Lightbody (b. 23 Jan 1886), married, pay clerk (temporary), fully qualified motor mechanic, was at 35 Wheathill Road, Bromley, Kent.

In July 1945 Beatrice Kate Lightbody (wife of Godfrey Kennett Lightbody) was granted Probate of the personal effects of her late son Hugh Arthur Lightbody of Perranuthnoe Penzance who died on war service on 15 Jul 1944.

Beatrice Kate Lightbody, aged 56, born in Ipswich England, married, departed London England on 11 Jul 1946 on Pan Amer. Airlines no. 70, and arrived the following day in New York City, in transit to British West Indies, Tobago, Speyside, Bird of Paradise Inn. She was travelling alone. In the 1963 New Zealand Electoral Roll Beatrice Kate Lightbody, widow, was living in Te Haumi Beach, Paihia, Northland. Note that Beatrice's husband died in January 1965, such that 'widow' would suggest that they were either separated or she was unaware of his whereabouts.
