Simeon of Durham names "Algiva daughter of earl Uchtred [and] of Algiva daughter of king Agelred" when recording that her father arranged her marriage to "Maldred the son of Crinan", although her father was long since dead when she married. She is named as daughter of Uhtred and Elgiva by Roger of Hoveden, who also names her husband and his father. 1
Ealdgyth married Maldred MAC CRÍNÁIN, Lord of Allerdale, son of Crínan MAC DONNCHADA abb Duine Caillenn and Bethóc INGEN MAÍL COLUIM, Lady of Atholl, before 1040. (Maldred MAC CRÍNÁIN died about 1045.)
