The primary source which confirms his parentage has not yet been identified. It is assumed that it is no more than speculation, based on transmission of the name Chadalhoh to his son.

Pfalzgraf von Bayern 985. He founded Seeon in 974 and Göss in 999. "Otto…Romanorum imperator augustus" granted privileges to Kloster Seeon founded by "Arbonis comitis" by charter dated 15 Apr 999.

The necrology of Seeon records the death "XVI Kal Mar" of "Aribo palatinus fundator hic iacet". 1
