In the 1939 Register Lydia E E Hewett (b. 3 Dec 1894), unpaid domestic duties, and husband Edwin J Hewett (b. 30 May 1879), estate agent's managing clerk retired, were living in Herga Down Road, Bexhill, Sussex. At the same address were [children] William J Hewett (b. 6 Oct 1923), at school, Margaret R L Hewitt (b. 23 Aug 1925), at school, and Richard E L Hewitt (b. 17 Sep 1929), at school.
