At the time of the 1861 England Census Sarah Adams, aged 49, born in Hellingly Sussex, and husband Henry Adams, aged 57, born in Kingston Sussex, pauper agricultural labourer, were living in Hellingly Sussex.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Sarah Adams, aged 61, born in Hellingly Sussex, and husband Henry Adams, aged 61, born in Kingston upon Lewes Sussex, were living in London Rd., Hellingly Sussex.
