At the time of the 1851 England Census John Waghorn, aged 33, born in Plaxtol Kent, farm labourer, and wife Phyllis, aged 28, born in Peckham Kent, were living in Crockhurst St., Tudely Kent. With them were daughter Eliza Banfield (8) of Malling Kent, scholar, son William H Waghorn (5) of Tudely, and nephew Uriah Banfield (16) of Peckham, farmer's servant.
