At the time of the 1881 England Census William H Kennard, aged 30, born in Waldron Sussex, commercial traveller, and wife Charlotte, aged 30, born in Brighton Sussex, were living in Lancing Sussex. Present were daugther Charlotte M (1) of Lancing, and father-in-law Richard Randall (81) of Ditchling Sussex, widower.
At the time of the 1891 England Census William H Kennard, aged 39, born in Waldron Sussex, clothier's manager, and [2nd] wife Bertha, aged 27, born in Derby, were living at 26 Lovell St., St. Lukes Yorkshire. With them were children Charlotte M (11) of Lancing Sussex, William H (2) of Burton on Trent Staffs, and Walter E (11 mo) of Sheffield Yorks.
At the time of the 1901 England Census Wm Henri Kennard, aged 49, born in Cross in Hand Sussex, estate agent's accountant, and wife Bertha, aged 37, born in Derby Derbyshire, were living at 8 Grantham Rd., Bradford Yorkshire. With them were children Charlotte M. (21) of Lancing Sussex, street shop manageress, William H (12) of Burton on Trent Staffs, Walter E (10) of Sheffield Yorks, Ethel A (6) of Bradford, and Cyril V (2) of Bradford.

ESTATE AGENT AND RESTAURANT-KEEPER'S FAILURE
A Statement has been issued by the Bradford Official Receiver relative to the affairs of William Henry Kennard, estate agent and restaurant-keeper, of 8, Grantham-place, Bradford.
Up to seven years ago bankrupt was a clothier's manager. He then began business as an estate agent. He states that his present difficulties have arisen mainly in connection with the Silver Grill Restaurant, Kirkgate. The deficiency is £161 9s. 9d.

With them were children William Henri (22) of Burton on Trent Staffs, wool merchant's book keeper, Walter Ernest (20) of Sheffield Yorkshire, shipping merchant's clerk, and Ethel Annie (16) of Bradford, tent merchant's clerk.
