At the time of the 1881 England Census John Kennard, aged 30, born in Waldron Sussex, bricklayer's labourer, and wife Mary [sic], aged 31, born in Eastbourne Sussex, were living at 31 Wood St., Brighton Sussex. With them was daughter Kate (6) of Brighton.
At the time of the 1891 England Census John Kennard, aged 41, born in Waldron Sussex, general labourer, and wife Fanny, aged 48, born in Eastbourne Sussex, were living at 34 Beaconfield Rd., Preston Sussex. With them were daughters (born in Brighton) Ethel (9) and Gertrude (3).
