Abstract of the Will of Paul Woodward of Bath in the County of Somerset, Cabinet Maker, written 18 Jun 1811, proved 8 Jul 1813. 5
Refers to the marriage contract between himself and Martha Maskelyne, spinster, then of Wootton Bassett, whereby he became bound to John Hughes of Broad Hinton in co. Wilts, gent, and William Woodward of Minety in co. Gloucester, gent., to the sum of £500, half of which to be invested in securities, with the interest being payable to himself during the course of his natural life, and after his decease to his wife Martha Maskelyne for the term of her natural life.
Gives, devises & bequeaths to his friends Mr. Jasper Maskelyne* of Wootton Bassett, yeoman, and John Yorke* of the same place, farmer and carpenter, his freehold and leasehold estates, goods and chattels, stock in trade, monies and securities for money, in trust, to sell and invest the sum in securities and pay the interest and dividends to his wife Martha Woodward for the maintenance and raising of his two daughters Louisa Woodward and Anna Maria Woodward.

Gives & bequeaths £20 from the trust monies to his niece Hannah Crew and the remainder thereof to the said Jasper Maskelyne, the said John Yorke, to Edmund Maskelyne of Wroughton in co. Wilts, farmer, to Hester Hawkins* of Oaksey in co. Wilts and to Mary Maskelyne* of Wootton Bassett, spinster, and to their children respectively.
