Family name also spelled BYSHOPP.
It is possible that Jane's father, Thomas Bishop, was related to Sir Thomas Bishop of Henfield (1553-1626). The connection, if there is one, is not apparent.
Jane's parents were married on 18 Jan 1607 in Henfield. Jane appears to have been an only child. "Alice Bishop wife of Thomas Bishop" was buried there on 3 Jul 1630.
