Abstract of the Will of William Humphreys of Havodwen in the Parish of Trawsfynydd in the County of Merioneth, Yeoman, written 9 Nov 1769, proved 18 Jun 1770. 2
Gives, devises and bequeaths all his goods, cattle, chattels and personal estate to his friends and relations Griffith Evans of Cwmyrafon, gentleman, his brother-in-law Richard Roberts of Pantmawr, yeoman, and John Cadwalader of Nantbydir, drover, in Trust, that they shall after his death make an inventory of his goods and chattels, and shall place, permit and suffer his wife Ellin to take care of and manage the same for her own use and benefit and for the advantage of their three daughters Jane, Gwen and Elizabeth Humphreys.
If his wife Ellin should marry again then he directs the said Griffith Evans, Richard Roberts and John Cadwalader to pay her £10 and the rest and residue of the value of his goods and chattels be equally divided between his three daughters.
Nominates, constitutes and appoints the said Griffith Evans, Richard Roberts and John Cadwalader executors of his last will and testament.
