The Chronologia Johannes de Beke names (in order) "Florencium Hollandie comitem, Ottonem Traiectensem pontificem, Wilhelmum presidium, Adam abbatissan Rinesburgensem et Richardim…monialem" as the children of Count Willem & his first wife.
He succeeded his father in 1222 as FLORIS IV Count of Holland.
The Chronologia Johannes de Beke records that "Claromontensis comes" killed Count Floris "in Corbiaco XIV Kal Aug". Beke's Egmondsch Necrologium records that "Florentius IV comes Hollandie tredecimus" was killed "XIV Kal Aug" in 1234 and buried "Reynsburch". 1

Floris married Mathilde DE BRABANT, daughter of Henri I "le Guerroyeur" (the Warrior) DE LOUVAIN, Duke of Lorraine & Brabant, and Mathilde DE FLANDRE, Duchess of Brabant, on 5 Dec 1224. (Mathilde DE BRABANT died on 22 Dec 1267 and was buried in Loosduinen, Zuid Holland.)
