Elinand Bishop of Laon donations made by "Albricus de Cociaco castro…cum uxore sua Adela et matre eius Malthilde" by charter dated 3 Nov 1059. [Heiress of Coucy]: assuming that it is correct, ... that her daughter Ada de Marle was [vicomtesse] de Coucy in her own right, it is possible that the property was inherited from her mother as no record has been found of it belonging to the family of Ada’s father. 2
