Angharad married Rhodri "Mawr" ap Merfyn, King of Gwynedd, son of Merfyn "Frych" ap Gwriad, King of Powys, and Nest ferch Cadell. (Rhodri "Mawr" ap Merfyn was born in Caer Seiont, Carnarvonshire, Wales and died in 878 in Anglesey, Wales.)
