  Research Notes:

The Red Book of the Exchequer names "Radulfus de Kantilupo, i militem, Walterus de Kantilupo, ii milites" as tenants of William de Roumare in Lincolnshire in 1166. The Feet of Fines records the judgment dated 3 Oct 1190 in a claim by "Benedictum fil Rad de Hengsterwrth" against "Walterum de Kantelu". 1
