"Domnus Albarus de Maxella cum fratribus meis...Petrus Roderici, Fernandus Roderici, Urraca Royz, Maria Royz, Theresa Royz" donated “hereditatem...in Bega de Sancto Michaele que iacet inter Madrigal et Turredadigo” to Burgos Cathedral by charter dated Nov 1167. Her marriage is confirmed by the charter dated 22 Nov 1191 under which "Rodrigo y su mujer Ximena" donated half of the castle of Dueñas to the Order of Calatrava, leaving the other half to his children by "su primer mujer María de Guzman". 1

María married Rodrigo Gutiérrez GIRÓN, Mayordomo, son of Gutierre Téllez GIRÓN and Urraca DÍAZ, about 1160. (Rodrigo Gutiérrez GIRÓN died in 1193.)
