In 1901 Richard Norman Pearce, aged 19, born in Mylor Cornwall, ship blacksmith, was with his mother in Ivy Cottage, Mylor.

In 1911 Richard Norman Pearce, aged 29, born in Mylor Cornwall, Armourer's mate, Royal Navy, and wife of 2 years Ellen Pearce, aged 30, born in Mylor, were living at 7 Ross St., Devonport Devon. With them were daughter Aileen Mary (under two months) of Devonport, and mother-in-law Ellen Penhall (70) of Mylor, widow.

Richard wasn't with his family at the time of the 1921 England Census.

In the 1939 Register Norman R Pearce (b. 9 Aug 1881), mariner, fitter, ordinance artificer, and wife Ellen Pearce (b. 8 Feb 1879), unpaid domestic duties, were living Rastornal Mylor. At the same address was (daughter) Aileen M Cole (b. 14 Feb 1911), married, unpaid domestic duties.
