In 1851 Mary Stone, aged 14, born in Grade Cornwall, scholar, was with her parents in Cadgwith, Ruan Minor Cornwall.

In 1861 Mary Arthur Jose, aged 26, born in Grade Cornwall, married, seaman's wife, was living in Higher Brook St., Falmouth, Cornwall.

Mary Jose, aged 27, and her husband Thos. Jose, aged 30, miner, arrived in Melbourne Australia from Plymouth England aboard the vessel Swiftsure on 23 Jan 1863.

Abstract of the Will of Mary Arthur Jose of Webster Street Bendigo in the State of Victoria, Widow, written 9 Sep 1905, probate granted 7 Apr 1906. ⁵

Gives her house and property in Webster Street, Bendigo to her son William Jose of Johannesbury South Africa, contractor.

The residue of her personal estate she gives to her son Alfred Jose of Barnard Street, Bendigo, miner, and her daughter Louisa Francis of Golden Square, Bendigo, married woman, share and share alike.

Appoints Francis Richards of Bendigo the executor of her will.
