In 1861 Margeret Thomas, aged 28, born in Grade Cornwall, and husband Joseph Thomas, aged 24, born in Breage Cornwall, tin miner, were living in Church Town, Sithney, Cornwall. With them were sons (born in Sithney) William H. (1) and John (1 week).

In 1871 Margaret Thomas, aged 37, born in Ruan Minor Cornwall, married, was living in Church Town, Sithney, Cornwall. With her were children (born in Sithney) William Henry (11), scholar, John (10), scholar, Joseph (8), scholar, and Elizabeth Mary (6), scholar.
