Pardon, at the supplication of the earl marshal, to Robert de Gousehull of suit of the king's peace for the murder and other felonies whereof he is indicted and of any consequent outlawry, in respect of the following circumstances. John Boghere, his servant, and William Fox, tailor of Barleburgh, by his order came to Chesterfield on Saturday before St. Hilary, 10 Richard II, and there murdered John Milner of Wynfeld, he himself being present to aid them, and in the house of Ralph Frecheville, knight, at Chesterfield, when William Lowe, bailiff of Chesterfield came to arrest the said Boghere and Fox immediately after the commission of that murder, he with others assaulted the said Lowe....

Order to the escheators in the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk, Warwick and Leicester, Salop, Cambridge and Huntingdon, Nottingham and Derby, York, Lincoln, Northampton and Rutland, Sussex, Hereford, Essex and Hertford, Bedford and Bu to take into the king's hand and keep safely until further order all the lands late of Robert Goushill.

  Marriage Information:

Robert married Elizabeth ARUNDEL, daughter of Sir Richard DE ARUNDEL, K.G., 11th Earl of Arundel, and Elizabeth DE BOHUN, Countess of Northampton, shortly before 19 Aug 1401. (Elizabeth ARUNDEL was born about 1371 and died shortly before 8 Jul 1425 in Hoveringham, Nottinghamshire, England.)

  Marriage Notes:

Elizabeth married Robert without a licence, the date being when her dower lands were ordered back into the king's hands. Elizabeth was pardoned 28 Sep 1401 and her lands were restored.
