The Vita Sancti Abbonis Floriacensis names Amauvin as prepositus at the monastery of la Réole at the end of the 10th century. According to Jaurgain, Amauvin was the son of Utzan Amanieu, named above, but he cites no primary source which either confirms that this is correct or provides Amauvin’s patronymic. "Bernardus Willelmus comes" confirmed the foundation of Saint-Sever, confirmed by "germano meo Sancio et beatæ memoriæ matre mea Urraca, cum duobus consanguineus nostris Aymone…et Aymonio", by charter dated 3 Apr [1009].
