  Research Notes:

David son of Lewis Pugh of Cefnymaes & Jonett his wife (baptismal record)

Named as a beneficiary in his father's Will (written 14 Sep 1802, proved 16 Aug 1803)

David was a skinner by trade and appears to have died in Surrey, where his two eldest sons, Lewis (a licensed victualler) and Humphrey (a skinner & leather dresser) also lived and raised families. David was buried in Bermondsey, Surrey; his son Humphrey was living in Bermondsey from at least 1827 until the time of the 1851 Census. David's widow, Martha, may have spent time in Surrey with her husband; however, if she did she had returned to Dolgelley in Merionethshire, Wales by 1841 where David's & Martha's son Owen (also a skinner) and daughter Anne were living, both unmarried.

David Pugh of Neckinger Street Bermondsey died aged 66 years.

  Marriage Information:

David married Martha Owen, daughter of Humphrey Owen of Pen y gareg, Gent. and Catherine Anwyl, shortly after 27 Jan 1792 in Tal-y-Llyn, Merioneth, Wales. (Martha Owen was christened on 3 Apr 1762 in Tal-y-Llyn, Merioneth, Wales and was buried on 9 Jul 1847 in Dolgellau, Merioneth, Wales, aged 85 years.)
