  Research Notes:

The Chronica Boemorum names "Spitigneum et Wratizlaum" as sons of "Borivoy", specifying that the latter succeeded on the death of his older brother. "Wratizlav" is named as younger brother of "Zpuytignev" in the Vita Vencezslavi.

He succeeded his brother in 915 as VRATISLAV I Duke of the Bohemians. The Gesta Hungarorum records that, after settling in Pannonia, the Magyars (although the text does not give them this name) raided Moravia and Bohemia and killed "Waratizlao" in battle. 1
