At the time of the 1851 Scotland Census Isabella Drinnan, aged 49, born in Tarbolton Ayrshire, farmer's wife, and husband William Drinnan, aged 50, born in Tarbolton, farmer of 80 acres, were living in Middleton Hill, Tarbolton. With them were niece Agnes Cowan (9) of Tarbolton, scholar, and 3 servants. Visiting was [father-in-law] George Drinnan (82) of Tarbolton, formerly ag. labourer.
At the time of the 1861 Scotland Census Isabella Drinnan, aged 58, born in Tarbolton Ayrshire, farmer's wife, and husband William Drinnan, aged 61, born in Tarbolton, farmer of 80 acres, were living in Middleton Hill, Tarbolton. Present were [niece] Agnes Cowan (20), servant, and three other servants.
At the time of the 1871 Scotland Census Isabella Drinnan, aged 70, born in Tarbolton Ayrshire, and
husband William Drinnan, aged 72, born in Tarbolton, farmer of 128 acres, employing 1 man & 1 boy, were living in Middleton, Tarbolton. Present was niece Margaret Cowan (35) of Tarbolton, general servant
