W., were living in Kile Alley, Tarbolton. Present were children: James (15)*, silk H. L. W., Elizabeth (3), and [Elizabeth's father] Hugh Cowan (85).
* James was probably a son of William from a previous marriage.
At the time of the 1861 Scotland Census Margaret Dunlop, aged 69 years, born in Tarbolton Ayrshire, widow, silk winder, was living at 43 Montgomerie St., Tarbolton. With her was daughter Elizabeth (23) of Tarbolton, sewed musline worker.
At the time of the 1871 Scotland Census Margaret Dunlop, aged 79, born in Tarbolton Ayrshire, widow, was living at 34 Montgomerie St., Tarbolton, Ayrshire. With her was daughter Elizabeth (35), sewed muslin worker.
