In November 1886 Charles Albert Tanner of Rockley House, esquire, was co-executor of the Will of his late brother William Henry Tanner of Ogbourn St. Andrew, esq.

In 1871 Charles Albert Tanner, aged 32, born in Yatesbury Wilts, landowner & farmer, and wife Elizabeth, aged 37, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, were living in Yatesbury. With them were children (born in Yatesbury) Elizabeth Frances (8), Mary Maskelyne (7), Sophia Rose (5), Minnie Alberta (4), Charles Henry James (3), John (2) and Lilian (8 mos).

In 1881 Charles Albert Tanner, aged 42, born in Yatesbury Wilts, gentleman, and wife Elizabeth, aged 47, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, were living in Yatesbury. Present were children (born in Yatesbury) Elizabeth Frances (18), Minnie Alberta (14), Lilian (10), Anne Dorothea (9), Beatrice Adelaide (7), Walter Reginald (6), Frances Margaret Bertha (5) and Marion Charlotte Eugenia (3).

In 1901 Charles A. Tanner, aged 62, born in Yatesbury Wilts, widower, living on own means, was in West End House, Didmarton Gloucestershire. With him were daughters (born in Yatesbury, single) Elizabeth F. (38), Minnie (34) and Frances M. (23).
