In 1861 Robert P Tanner, aged 27, born in Yeatsbury Wilts, farmer of 1000 acres employing 25 men and 11 boys, and wife Mary H, aged 26, born in Littlecote Wilts, were living in Ogbourne St. Andrew Wilts. With them was daughter Mary H (1) of Ogbourne St. Andrew.
In February 1865 Robert Pinckney Tanner of Rockley in the parish of Ogbourne Maizey, esq. was co-executor of the Will of his late brother John Tanner of Yatesbury, esq.
In 1871 Robert P. Tanner, aged 35, born in Yatesbury Wilts, land owner & occupier, farming 1090 acres employing 18 men and 8 boys, and wife Mary Henly, aged 33, born in Ramsbury Wilts, were living in Ogbourne Maisey Farm, Ogbourne St. Andrew Wilts. With them were children (born in Ogbourne Maisey) Robert Ernest (9), scholar, Frances Evelyn (8), scholar, Charles Price (6), scholar, Mary Isabel (4), scholar, Fred'ck John (3), scholar, Lucy Maskelyne (2) and Percival King (10 mo).
In 1891 Robert Tanner, aged 56, born in Yatesbury Wilts, land owner, and wife Mary, aged 54, born in Ramsbury Wilts, were living in Maizy Farm, Ogbourne St. Andrew. With them was son Percy (20) of Ogbourne St. Andrew.
In 1901 Robert P. Tanner, aged 65, born in Yatesbury Wilts, married, retired farmer, was with his son Robert E. Tanner, clergyman, at the Vicarage, Motcombe Dorset.

All Persons having claims upon the Estate of the late Mr. ROBERT PINCKNEY TANNER, formerly of of Ogbourne Maizey, afterwards Motcombe, Dorset, and recently residing at Medbourne, near Liddington, Wilts, who died on the 16th day of March last, are requested to send particulars of their claims to me the undersigned, the Solicitor to the Rev. ROBERT ERNEST TANNER, the Executor of the Will of the Deceased, not later than the 19th day of May inst.
