In 1851 Williams Evens, aged 23, born in Ruan Minor Cornwall, was with his parents in Halligan, Crowan Cornwall.

In 1861 William Evans, aged 32, born in Ruan Minor Cornwall, unmarried, farmer of 49 acres employing 1 labourer & a boy, was living in Tremayne, Crowan Cornwall. With them was sister Tamson Evans (29) of Ruan Minor, unmarried, housekeeper.

In 1871 William Evans, aged 42, born in Ruan Minor Cornwall, farmer of 32 acres, and wife Mary, aged 33, born in Crowan Cornwall, were living in Tremayne, Crowan. With them were children (born in Crowan) John R. (5), scholar, Elizabeth L. (3), scholar, and Amelia (9 months).

In 1881 William Evans, aged 52, born in Ruan Minor Cornwall, farmer of 50 acres, and wife Mary, aged 43, born in Crowan Cornwall, were living in Tremayne, Crowan. Present were children (born in Crowan) John R. (15), Elizabeth (13), scholar, and Amelia (10), scholar.

In 1901 William Evans, aged 71, born in Ruan Minor Cornwall, widower, farmer, was living in Tremayne, Crowan. With him were son John Rowe Evans (35) of Crowan, and aunt Catherine Bawden (72) of Crowan, married, living on her own means.

In 1911 William Evans, aged 82, born in Ruan Minor Cornwall, widower, farmer, was living in Tremayne Farm, Crowan. With him were son John Rowe Evans (45) of Crowan, farmer's son (partnership), and his wife of 8 years Annie (32) of Tremayne Crowan.
