In 1851 William Rosewarne (52) of Phillack, retired farmer, and wife Phillis (48) of Gwinear, were living in Hayle Foundry, Phillack, Cornwall. With them were children (born in Gwinear): Jane (22), at home, Richd (20), engineer, William Hy (18), pattern maker, Charles F (16), Margaret (14), scholar at home, Paul B (13), grocer's apprentice, Elizabeth (8), scholar at home.
In 1861 William Rosewarne (61) of Phillack, Registrar of Births Deaths & Marriages, and wife Phillis (58) of Gwinear were living in Hayle Foundry, Phillack, Cornwall. With them were children (born in Gwinear): Charles (25), engineer, Elizabeth (19).
In 1871 William Rosewarne (72) of Phillack, Registrar of Births Deaths & Marr., widr., was living at 8 Penpoll Terrace Phillack, Cornwall. At home was daughter Elizabeth Rosewarne (28) of Gwinear, governess.

REDRUTH UNION.— At the meeting of the guardians Mr. T. R. Hearle, solicitor, Hayle, was appointed vaccination officer for the western district of this union, at a salary of £6 a year ; he was the only applicant. The same gentleman was recently appointed registrar of births and deaths for the same district. The above offices, together with that of registrar of marriages, to which Mr. Charles Hosking, of Hayle, had been appointed, became vacant by the death of the late Mr. William Rosewarne.
