Lloyd H. VIVIAN

   General Notes:

He proudly served in the US Army from 1940-45. He married Irene Sersch Sept. 29, 1945 at the Barneveld Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Madison and Barneveld areas their entire married life. Irene preceded him in death on Sept. 23, 2000. He was a member of the Barneveld Congregational United Church of Christ and Barneveld American Legion Post #433.

He was preceded in death by four sisters: Lavon Kitsemble, Dorothy Diettert, Jayne Rule and Helen Andrews and two brothers: Bailey and Herbert Vivian. Lloyd and Irene's children are: Mike (Bette) and son, Kole of Barneveld and Crystal (Gunther) Straubhaar (his parents were my back door neighbors in Barneveld, very hard working farmers who retired to town and had come to the US after WW II - Dad from Switzerland and mother from Germany) and their sons are, Mark, Erik and George of Barneveld. Lloyd has a brother Nevin (Ruby) who survives and one surviving sisters, Lucille McIntosh and Ruth Keller (found a little obit info on her-died 7/18/2003-had lived in Sun Prairie, WI and died apparently in Madison, Wi and was born Dec. 1912 in Mineral Point, WI). Services for Lloyd were held at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville with burial at the East Side (sometimes seen as Eastside-can't remember which is correct-believe just one word) Cemetery, with Military Honors, at Dodgeville, WI. on April. 21, 2003.
