Abstract of the Will of Richard Thomas of the Parish of Veryan in the County of Cornwall, Gentleman, written 19 Mar 1757, proved 8 Nov 1758. ²

Gives £5 to his wife to buy mourning. Also gives to her his escalloped silver cup.

Gives 10 guineas to his daughter Abigail Thomas for mourning.

Gives £5 to his granddaughter Mary Thomas for the same purpose.

Gives £5 to his granddaughter Frances Williams for the like purpose.

Gives 10 guineas to his brother Charles Thomas and Mary his wife for the same purpose.

Gives 1 shilling to his sister Elizabeth Husband.

Gives £3 3s. to his cousin Mary Sleeman.

Gives 2 guineas to the poor of the parish of Veryan.

Gives to his son Farmery Thomas an annuity of £20 for the term of his natural life.

Gives £400 each to his said granddaughters Mary Thomas and Frances Williams.
